Addressing a big gathering here, which was organized by his party to mark the martyrdom of Butt, Bazaz pointed out that Kashmiri youth have been following the footsteps of Maqbool Butt and so far thousands of youth have laid down their lives for the freedom of Kashmir.
He said that Maqbool Butt played the role to bring out Kashmir issue from the files of India to the international forums and his sacrifice gave us strength to continue to fight for the cause of Kashmiris' right to self-determination.
The Democratic Front leader reiterated Kashmiris' firm resolve to take the mission of the martyrs to its successful conclusion. Senior leaders of the party and other prominent personalities from Indian civil society spoke on the occasion, shedding light on many aspects of the great martyr.
